Ken Raichel #17 Alberta Outlaw Modified
Occupation: Controller/Relief Foreman City of Edmonton Fabrication shop
Class: Alberta Outlaw Modifieds
# of Years Racing: Raced Alberta Outlaw Modifieds from '92 to '94 before selling the car and spending about 14 years crewing for the Macdonell Bros Racing Team. In 2018, I joined Sean MacDonell Racing and competed throughout the USA and Canada until the end of 2023. With the resurrection of the Alberta Outlaw Modifieds in 2024, I purchased a new car and began racing with the Alberta Mods again.
Accomplishments: In 2024, I won two events—one at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Valemount, BC, and another at Rad Torque Raceway. It was a strong year, capped off by finishing second in the Alberta Outlaw Modified 2024 points standings.
Hobbies:
I spend most of my free time restoring and building classic cars and when I'm not in the shop or at the racetrack I enjoy going out to see live music around the city.
Sponsors: Dewar/Lakeland, Prowest Motorsports, Gunn Law Group, Hydraulic Woks, Mar-ko Metal Products, Riverbend Landscape Supply, and Best Value Autobody Supplies.
Comments: I couldn't race without the support of incredible sponsors like Prowest Motorsports, who are a fantastic support for local racing. I'd also like to thank my amazing crew—Joe Guido, Frank Guido, Gord Tkachuk, and Kelly Bihun. Without them, none of this would be possible.
